Over the years, communications have evolved from the plain old telephone to mobile phones and now we have what we call VoIP where you can call anywhere in the world using internet connection. We also have video calls and even video conference where you can see who is on the other end of the line using 3g technology. And with the little device, there is so much you can do.
In the old days, people were using the old telegraph system to transmit messages. The system works like that of the telephone however it can only transmit messages not sounds. The the phone has been invented and developed from the rusty dials, to soft keys, and now we have touch screen technology where you can just touch the screen of a device and it will function as what you wish to do. We also have email where we can send and receive data using wireless technology. Since the invention of the computer, many people have been working to improve our communication system.
How do telecommunications work anyway?
In the old days, we use cables to connect from one phone to another thanks to Alexander Graham Bell who invented the first telephone. It is a device that transmits sounds form one line to the other. Did you know that the first words spoken when they invented the telephone back in 1876 was “Mr. Watson — come here — I want to see you.” It was also the same day of the telegraph’s death.
It’s very impressive how far our communications have developed. Now, you can reach anyone from any parts of the world. We now have social sites to stay connected, online messengers, and many more. On a recent news, we are also developing communications so we could reach someone from other planets. Who knows what’s next in line for communications?
